Melting
Melting is a Swiss hip-hop group that has been evolving for 10 years, and was born from the fusion of three artists, Jon, Hémo and Mc Déo. All passionate about music, they immediately set their sights on making progress and producing an album. So they set up their own recording studio to be autonomous in the realization of their projects.
To coincide with the release of their 1st album "On me parlait du plus bel âge" in 2005, the band made a video clip with Alexandre Guidetti from cuckooproduction in Montreux for the song "Somewhere". The clip is broadcast several times on TVM3, the music channel in French-speaking Switzerland.
During the 2006 Montreux Jazz Festival, the director showed the clip to Sylver, the singer of the 80s group "Chic". She fell in love with it. She expressed her wish to meet Melting and suggested that they collaborate on a track together. A wonderful adventure began and Sylver came to Melting's studio where they composed a track together and also did a remix of "Somewhere".
"Refais Tourner", Melting's 2nd album, was released on April 11, 2009. Melting's music draws inspiration from a wide range of backgrounds, including pop, jazz, classical and soul. Her eclectic style is based on hip hop drums and catchy melodies. The songwriting follows the musical mood, dealing with deep themes of life, while retaining a certain derision in other tracks. In short, a music based on emotion and sincerity.
